DELTA COUNTY -- The case of a 21-year-old Escanaba woman, charged with abusing her three-month-old daughter, will be heading for a jury trial in Delta County Circuit Court.
Angel Dawn Micheau's trial is scheduled for March 12 through 15. A pretrial was held in chambers early on Wednesday.
Micheau is charged with child abuse in the first and second degree. The maximum penalty for the first degree child abuse is 15 years. There's a four year penalty for the second degree child abuse.
According to officials, the baby is now recovering in foster care.
Micheau remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
