MUNISING -- The Canadian man accused of trying to entice a young Munising girl into his car entered a not guilty plea in court.
Mohamed El Fectali is charged with attempted kidnapping and enticing a child for immoral purposes. El Fectali allegedly tried to abduct a 12-year-old while driving through Munising.
The detective who questioned him stated El Fectali eventually confessed.
A hearing has been scheduled for December 19 to determine if his statement made to police was voluntary.
The defense maintained El Fectali was simply asking for directions and was offering the girl a ride home.
