The library is hosting an open house this Sunday from 1 p.m. Until 3 p.m. for anyone who wants to look at the decorated trees.

MARQUETTE -- Marquette's Peter White Public Library has begun its annual Winter Wonderland. Each year, anyone from the area can rent a tree in the library, and decorate it as they please.

On Friday, children from North Star Elementary School were there making ornaments and decorating their own tree. There are 72 Christmas trees this year, which is a big jump from the 22 trees when the Winter Wonderland first started 16 years ago.

"A lot of people when they have family and friends in for the holiday, they come here to go the library to see the trees; It's gotten to be quite the tradition," Margaret Boyle, a coordinator, said.

The library is hosting an open house this Sunday from 1 p.m. Until 3 p.m. for anyone who wants to look at the decorated trees.
