IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Bishop Baraga Catholic School in Iron Mountain is attempting to build a new playground, but they need your help.

Part of Clorox's Power a Bright Future campaign involves giving a grant of $50,000 to a school to replace playground equipment.  This is a nationwide search, and to win your school must receive the most votes.

"We're asking for the support of the Upper Peninsula community because we feel that it would better all of our community through playgrounds," said Melissa Wentarmini of the BBCS Parents Association.  "Through any type of infrastructure can only make the U.P. a better place."

They've raised about $5,000 themselves, however the cost of a new playground would be about $50,000.

The current playground is outdated and the wood is treated with arsenic.

You can vote for Bishop Baraga Catholic School by texting Clorox 3438 to 44144.  The contest ends on December 9.
