IRON MOUNTAIN -- People who were customers of Erickson Insurance in Iron Mountain may not be aware that they're no longer insured.

The insurance agency, which had its license revoked this week, actually went out of business about seven months ago.
    
Mauck Insurance of Niagara purchased their client list and has been trying to get in touch with everyone.  But due to poor record keeping by Erickson and Associates, this has proven to be difficult.

"We've been able to contact a lot of them and a lot of them have not known a thing that's going on, and they say 'Oh really! I didn't know that he had closed down or went out of business or whatever,'" said Dale Kleffman from Mauck.  "Yeah I guess you can say we've been able to help some of them.  My worry is there's still some out there that we're not even aware of yet."

If you've been a customer of Erickson and Associates, make sure you check the status of your insurance policies as soon as possible.
