MARQUETTE -- A Marquette man faces charges after allegedly driving under the influence and causing the serious injury of a woman in a three vehicle collision in Marquette.

Police say 55-year-old William Badger Richards III was driving northbound on Front St. in Marquette on November 19 when his Toyota pickup crossed over into oncoming traffic, striking a Volkswagen, which was struck by a third vehicle.

The incident sent a 20-year-old woman to the hospital.  Richards is charged with operating while intoxicated, causing serious injury.

He also faces two weapons charges.  His preliminary hearing is set for December 12.
