The Bluffs Thanksgiving

HOUGHTON -- Many people are inside and enjoying Thanksgiving Day with family and friends in Houghton.

The streets are quiet and the parking lots are empty and the only thing making noise is the snow melting from atop the buildings.

The Bluffs Senior Community offers independent and assisted living and today they celebrated their annual Thanksgiving dinner buffet style.

“We feel the holidays are extremely special for our residents to have their families and friends coming in to share the day with them and carry on the traditions that they've done for their whole entire lives,” said Executive Director Jessica Bracco.

The Bluffs served 115 people while the residents and their families stood in line to fill up on turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole.

There were many happy faces enjoying their time with family and there were quite a few Packer fans among the crowd.
