ESCANABA -- The man accused of stealing a car and crashing into a home in Escanaba earlier this month has been arraigned on four charges.

An Alabama man, 27-year-old Justin Childress, has been charged with unlawfully driving away a vehicle, second offense operating while intoxicated, failure to stop after a collision, and third degree fleeing a police officer.

Escanaba Public Safety officers were pursuing the car in the early morning hours of November 4 when it crashed into the home on North 10th Street.  No one inside the home was injured.

Childress will be back in court November 23 for a preliminary hearing.
