ALGER COUNTY -- A police chase that began in Chocolay Township around 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning continued in Alger County.

A 1999 Chrysler 300, driven by two suspects under investigation for a breaking and entering early last week in Waushara County, Wisconsin, was stopped by police on N. Peterson Road near US-41.

Once stopped, the two male suspects fled the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested after a foot chase and a taser was used.  The passenger, with black hair and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, has not been apprehended at this time.  The suspect that was arrested is being taken to the Marquette City Police Department.

Area law enforcement are searching the area and checking on homes.  If you see a person matching the description in the area of N. Peterson Road an US-41, please contact 911 immediately.

We'll have more details as they become available.
