MARQUETTE -- Recently, NFLShop.com reported that Green Bay Packer merchandise leads the way in sales compared to the rest of the NFL teams.
Here in the U.P. where football fans are divided over Green Bay and Detriot, Packers' gear has also taken the lead. Employees at MC Sports in the Westwood Mall say that even though they receive less Packers merchandise than their Wisconsin stores; they still sell more than Lions' wear.
"For not having a very wide selection, we sell quite a bit of Packer merchandise. We always have questions about when we're getting more, and the variety that we do have, people seem to like it, but they always want more," said MC Sports Asst. Manager Candice Sequin.
NFLShop.com says the second most purchased team is the Packer's Super Bowl rival Pittsburgh Steelers, then the Dallas Cowboys. The most popular jersey on the site is No. 12, Aaron Rodgers.
