HOUGHTON -- Gifts from around the world were at the fingertips of some shoppers in Houghton on Saturday. Baked goods and crafts from the international community were on sale as part of the second annual International Bazaar at Michigan Tech University.
The event is put on the by the Michigan Tech International Club as a way for the community to experience multiculturalism.
"In the U.P. you can only get this kind of stuff every year in the Parade of Nations or in this event; we're like a second Parade of Nations without the parade," said Club President Zichen Qian.
The event is also a kick-off week to International Education Week at Michigan Tech. The club hopes to host the International Bazaar every year.
