MARQUETTE COUNTY -- The wet, heavy snow combined with high winds have caused scattered power outages across the U.P.

There have been several reports of trees falling on power lines.

Thousands of UPPCO customers are without power.  The Marquette Board of Light and Power is also reporting outages in Negaunee Township and Sands Township.  Forty Alger Delta customers have also been affected.

Crews are working throughout the night to restore power.
