MARQUETTE -- Larry Taylor, the man lodged in the Baraga Max Prison charged with solicitation to kidnap and murder of a state representative, was in circuit court on Wednesday.

Taylor was arraigned in circuit court on charges of felony murder and kidnapping by Judge Thomas Solka.  The charges stem from an incident last September when Taylor corresponded with an undercover police officer to kidnap and murder State Representative Barb Byrum.

Taylor stood mute during the arraignment prompting Judge Solka to enter a not guilty plea for him.  A trial date was set for April 17, 2012.
