LANSING -- The Michigan Department of Transportation released a report on highway bridges throughout the state on Tuesday, pointing to about 20 bridges in the Upper Peninsula that are structurally deficient.
What does that mean? According to MDOT, a structurally deficient bridge may require rehabilitation or replacement at some time in the future. There are 341 bridges in the state of Michigan that fit that category, with only 19 in the Upper Peninsula.
