The Ishpeming Township Fire Department made Halloween fun and scary for children.

ISHPEMING TWP -- Halloween day is Monday, however, all weekend children big and small participated in the holiday festivities. A special Halloween party was held at the fire department in Ishpeming Township Sunday.

This is the first party the department is hosting after five years. Children of all ages were invited, dressed in costume, of course. Ring toss, bean bags and other games entertained them all.

Most importantly, a haunted house was the main attraction in the basement.

"It's a pretty neat setup down there, and we've been working on it for quite a while it's really turned out well for us," Fireman Mike Fraser said.

About 300 children attended the party. Candy and goodies were on the menu.
