MARQUETTE -- People in Marquette took their chances and headed into the woods for the "Haunted Bog Walk".

The Moosewood Nature Center, along with over 100 volunteers, set up scare stations along the Bog Walk at Presque Isle.

Those on the walk experience a series of frights from zombies, ghouls and swamp people.

There is also a "Friendly Frights Forest" for younger kids to play games and get their face painted.

The "Haunted Bog Walk" is the Moosewood's biggest fundraiser of the year and organizers say it's a great family activity.

"It's a fun family event and it's for a good cause, I mean, this is Moosewood Nature Center so we hold environmental programs throughout the year which are really fun for people of all ages and it's  a spooky safe Halloween event," said Event Coordinator, Sally Sanderson.

The "Haunted Bog Walk" is Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p-m.

It cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
