MARQUETTE -- A brand of eggs that used to be sold at the Marquette Food Co-op has been recalled.
Certified organic eggs from Larry Schultz Farm in Minnesota have been recalled due to salmonella contamination.
October 2 was the last time the food co-op sold a carton of Larry Shultz eggs. The date of the reported contamination is August 12 to September 24.
Six illnesses have been reported, all in Minnesota.
The Marquette Food Co-op says they have no way of knowing if the eggs they sold during that timeframe are part of the recall.
Regardless, the food co-op is telling people to return any Larry Schultz eggs for a full refund.
All eggs on their shelves at this time are from local farms.
