ST. IGNACE -- Authorities have released the name of the truck driver who was involved in the Mackinac Bridge crash last week.

Randolph Smith of West Branch suffered a heart attack near the middle of the bridge causing his truck to cross into opposite traffic.

He missed one car but hit another.  The crash shut down the bridge for a better part of Friday.  No serious injuries were reported, but Smith did die from his medical emergency.
