CRYSTAL FALLS -- A group of Crystal Falls residents are holding a huge rummage sale this weekend for a family struck by tragedy.

Chris Skrzyiarz was recently killed in a motorcycle crash that also seriously injured his wife, Sheri.

Friends and community members put out the call through flyers and radio for people to donate an item or two for a rummage sale, and they were overwhelmed with donations.

Items at the sale will include furniture, appliances, and antiques.

Organizers say the sale really is the spirit of a small community.

"I think that people just rally in small communities whether you really know someone well or not," said sale organizer Cynthia Rahoi.  "I think they just have a need to do something for a neighbor in need."

The sale will be this Saturday and Sunday on US-2 between Crystal Falls and Florence next to Bev's Supper Club.  It will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
