A Marquette park receives $20,000 from Coca Cola

MARQUETTE -- The City of Marquette has been awarded a grant through the 2011 Sprite Spark Parks Project, worth $20,000.

The grant will go to the Shiras Hills Park in Marquette.  It will be used to fund new basketball rims, backboards, resurfacing, and art installations.

The check for the money will be presented on Monday, October 10 at 4:00 p.m. in Shiras Hills Park.
