ISHPEMING -- The City of Ishpeming Department of Public Works issued a water boil advisory on Tuesday afternoon.

The city will be replacing a water main valve and fire hydrant on Thursday, October 6.  The water will be shut off on Thursday morning and will remain off for the majority of the day.

Ishpeming residents on South Pine Street from Bluff Street south to Angeline Street will need to boil water meant for human consumption for a minimum of 48 hours after water service is restored.  This includes lower Pine Street, high and low Excelsior Street and West Bluff Street.

If you have any issues or questions regarding this, please contact the Department of Public Works at (906) 486-9371.
