MARQUETTE -- NMU students got a chance to check out opportunities around the world and update their passport at the same time Wednesday.
The International Programs office held a Study Abroad Fair at the Whitman Commons. Students browsed over two dozen booths as former "Study Abroad" students, faculty, and partnering programs presented opportunities to study all over the world.
Students could also apply for a passport at a booth from the Peter White Public Library, helping to make them ready for world travel.
"It's an opportunity for students that are interested in international studies to realize that we need a passport, and so this is a convenient place for them to come and apply," said Caroline Jordan, who was providing passport information during the fair.
The Study Abroad Fair is one of two events held every year.
Organizers said they expected up to 300 students throughout the day.
