NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- Two vehicles collided on US-41 Wednesday evening near the Northland Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Negaunee Township.

It happened around 5:30 p.m.  Michigan State Police say a Chevy Blazer, driven by 20-year-old Brittany Ellis of Marquette, pulled out onto US-41 into the path of a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 73-year-old Cecil Marjaniemi of Marquette.

A passenger in Marjaniemi's vehicle was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Ellis was ticketed for failing to yield.
