ESCANABA -- There's a serenity garden cropping up at OSF St. Francis Hospital, and community members have donated time and resources to put it together.
The Serenity Garden is located on the west side of the hospital and is 80 percent complete. It's wheelchair accessible and is filled with colorful flowers, shrubs, and even a waterfall.
Members of the Boy Scouts, local businesses, and individuals all spent time creating the community garden.
"If they want to donate trees, shrubs, that would be fine," said Ann Roman of OSF Respiratory Care. "If they want to plant them, they can. If not, we will. We're also offering that if anyone wants to buy bulbs for the spring, we'll order them."
People have also purchased bricks in honor of loved ones. The Serenity Garden's blessing and dedication is scheduled for October 21.
