MARQUETTE -- This Friday, players of all levels will kick off the hockey season in Marquette with the second annual Hockey on Third parade.
The parade is sponsored by the Village Business Association and will feature players at various levels, from travel teams to Marquette Senior High School hockey.
The parade will start on Fair Avenue and head south on Third Street and end at the Blue Link Party Store. The parade will serve as the kickoff to the hockey season and the Old Timers hockey tournament this weekend.
"As the Village Association, we are really happy to be hosting this parade, and it should be a good weekend of hockey in all aspects, and it should be just a great weekend," said Phil Johnson of the Village Business Association.
The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the Berry Events Center parking lot.
