MARQUETTE -- If you're looking to sell any gold or silver items, there's a group in the Marquette area this week that wants to take them off your hands.
The Premier Estate Buyers are at the Ramada Inn in Marquette until Friday holding a buying event. They're looking to purchase $250,000 worth of gold, silver, coins, antiques and collectibles from anyone who wants to sell them.
They say it costs nothing to come and have your items examined. Premier will then make an offer for your items; if you choose to accept it, you'll walk away with a check.
"We just had a gentleman in who had an old sterling flatware set. He said it had been sitting in the safe deposit box and he just wanted to get rid of it, heard we were in town, got rid of it and was able to walk away with a check. It's a simple process," said buyer, Tricia Reitz.
The group will be at the Ramada until Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
