Fire damages Sawyer multiplex

The fire started at 173 Raider St. and spread to the unit next door

SAWYER -- An abandoned multiplex building in Sawyer has been heavily damaged by fire.

The fire started at 173 Raider St. late Tuesday afternoon and spread to the unit next door.

No one was in the building when firefighters arrived on scene and there were no injuries.

Both the first and second floors of the units were damaged by the flames.  No utilities are connected to the multiplex.

Officials say they don't know how the fire started.
