When you hear about the Marquette Food Co-Op, you might think that they only carry food.
MARQUETTE -- But that's not the case, they actually also carry a variety of organic wellness products, like body care and supplements.
During the month of September, the Marquette Food Co-Op is offering samples of organic essential oils from Simplers Botanical.
There's a lot of therapeutic properties associated with these oils, including some health remedies as well.
Certain oils can provide health benefits for conditions like asthma, muscle tension, and excema.
"A lot of people see the oils as something that's scary because they don't know what to do with them, so I wanted to make it accessible to everyone just so you can use them in a bath, compress, inhalation, there's different ones you can purchase to help just get it in the room, aromatherapy is a great way too," says Denise Townsend, wellness buyer for the Marquette Food Co-Op.
Townsend adds that she wants to continue to bring more awareness to the wellness department, encouraging customers to enhance missing organic elements in their diet and lifestyle.
