MARQUETTE -- Katherine Scarlet O'Brien, a 17 year old from Gwinn, is currently listed in stable condition on Wednesday, according to Marquette General Hospital officials.

O'Brien was injured when she fell 80 to 100 feet off a cliff on Presque Isle, landing on the rocks below on Tuesday.

Marquette City Fire rappelled down the rock face to stabilize and speak with O'Brien when she fell, while they waited for medical personnel.

Emergency Medical Technicians reached her by US Coast Guard boat and transported her to Marquette General Hospital for her injuries.
