MARQUETTE -- It took a lot of hard work, but kids in the Drama and Dreams Playscape Theater Camp in Marquette finally got the chance to perform the play they have been working on all week.
The campers have worked four hours a day since Monday, learning stage and storytelling techniques.
The play they presented was written almost entirely be the campers and told several short stories involving time travel. After the play, each camper was presented an award for their unique contribution to the program.
"They came up with the storyline, they came up with the time travel concept, put together some time machines, and they had a really great time with it and they did a really great job," said camp co-director, Monica Nordeen.
The theater camp was sponsored by the Michigan Council for Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts along with several local organizations.
