A 17-year-old girl visiting from downstate is OK after she injured herself diving off of the rocks near Chapel Beach along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
ALGER COUNTY -- Alger County E.M.S. responded to the Chapel Beach area Saturday night when the caller stated the girl might not be able to walk the three miles to the trailhead.
Alger County Sheriff's personnel responded with their rescue boat, bringing the E.M.S. crew directly to the beach.
The girl suffered minor injuries. She refused further treatment and wasn't transported to the hospital.
