ISHPEMING -- A former student of Aspen Ridge Elementary came back to give his former school a new sign.

Nolan Hill, an Eagle Scout with Ishpeming Troop 321, presented a new sign to former Aspen Ridge Principal Dennis Tasson.

Hill decided to take on the challenge as a requirement for his scouting, and when he heard about the need for a sign he knew it was the perfect task.

The process took a few months, and with a little help from Cook Signs, Hill and his fellow Eagle Scouts painted and set the sign in front of the school.

"My dad helped me through the process of picking out my Eagle Scout project and we contacted the school and this was one of the big things they had planned," said Hill.

Hill said he wanted to give back to the school that gave so much to him.
