LANSING -- Governor Snyder has asked the Michigan Supreme Court to immediately take up the legal challenge to the controversial emergency managers law.

Snyder supports the law, and wants to avoid a drawn out legal battle over it.

The law allows the emergency managers to come into communities with severe budget problems, and essentially run those communities.

Opponents claim the law is undemocratic and unconstitutional.
