Motorcyclist injured in Iron Mountain crash

IRON MOUNTAIN -- A motorcycle and car crashed when the rider of a motorcycle claimed he was blinded by the sun, according to the Iron Mountain Police Department.

The crash happened on Sunday at 7:13 p.m. at the intersection of Carpenter Ave. and West H St. in Iron Mountain.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old Kingsford man, turned left, into the path of an oncoming car.

The 23-year-old man was taken to Dickinson County Hospital where he was treated for significant injuries.

He was cited for suspected failure to yield.
