NORWAY -- The 2nd annual Trainers Challenge was held Saturday in Norway during the Hiltunen Benefit.  It was hosted by Food For Our Horses in Bark River and Pipers Rescue Ranch.

Volunteer trainers took over training the horses, many of which had little human contact in the past.

Saturday, they showed a crowd the progress they had made, proving that almost anything is possible for their future.

"They know that you've taken care of them, they know that you've come in, saved them at a rough point in their life, and they turn out to be some of the most wonderful pets you can actually get," says Carrie Cramer of Pipers Rescue Ranch.

Sponsors hoped to give all of the horses "forever homes" by auctioning them off following the show.

Most of the proceeds will go to the Hiltunen Benefit.

Pipers Rescue Ranch plans on holding a dog trainers challenge in the future with the same goal in mind of finding forever homes for canines in need.
