GWINN -- Kids from Gwinn and even from downstate performed in a play at Peter Nordeen Park Friday.  The play was titled "Law and Order:  Nursery Rhyme Unit."

The characters investigated the murder of Humpty Dumpty and how he really fell from the wall.

They practiced the play four hours a day for 10 days during a two-week drama camp with the Superior Arts Council in Gwinn.

"The students have grown from learning their lines and everything.  There was one student who told me he couldn't memorize his lines and that he didn't want a big part," said Play Director, Emily Strazzinski.  "He ended up with two parts and he's one of the most confident ones up there.  So, they gain confidence, and I think it helps them to realize that they're capable of memorizing things.  I think that will help them in school as well."

There were many other familiar nursery rhyme characters featured in the play.

The last time the Superior Arts Council performed in Gwinn was five years ago.
