GWINN -- Peter Nordeen Park in Gwinn was recently transformed into a Biblical marketplace for the town's community Bible School.
Children enrolled in the Community Vacation Bible School gathered in the park for music and prayer then retired to the marketplace, a series of tents set up in the park, for bread and honey.
The school is made up of four area churches.
Everyday the students attended classes, as well as the marketplace, where they made sandals, boats, and prayer pillows.
"In Bible times there were people who were in the marketplace doing things. So we give them coins that they give to the sellers and to the marketplace people, and we teach them that in God's economy there's always enough for everybody." said organizer, Pastor Geri Hamlen.
This year 45 kids participated in the school.
