BERGLAND -- Two people were injured when the driver of a vehicle failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle on Monday, according to the Michigan State Police.
A vehicle driven by a 62-year-old Bergland woman pulled out on to Bergland Township Campground Road in front of a motorcycle. The motorcycle was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision with the car.
The passenger, a 29-year-old woman, was launched off the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old Calumet man, struck the car. Both people were taken to Aspirus Grandview Hospital in Ironwood for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle sought her own treatment and was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
