The first-ever fair was hosted by administrators at Brookridge Heights
MARQUETTE -- Many assisted living facilities offer residents options to constantly improve their quality of life. That was the case at Brookridge Heights in Marquette Saturday afternoon.
The first-ever summer health fair showcased vendors that are in partnership with Brookridge, like Marquette General Hospital and Lake Superior Hospice.
"A lot of the residents have gone around to the different vendors to get information, but [it's] also for anyone in the community that wants to come and get information on Brookridge Assisted Living and Memory Care or to come get information on the vendors that we have here, too," says Julie Laethem, Director of Community Relations at Brookridge. "We also have the Marquette General Bloodmobile here, and they're in great need of blood, so we have people donating blood, too, which is really great to see."
There was also live music and refreshments.
If you missed Saturday's fair, don't worry. Administrators are already planning future health fair events.
