BREITUNG TOWNSHIP -- Big changes are in the future for Breitung Township.

Tuesday morning, the township board voted to place five year Superintendent Perry Franzoi on unpaid administrative leave effective immediately.

The board also approved a separation agreement between the township and Franzoi which includes four months severance pay.

The agreement still needs to be signed by Franzoi.

Supervisor Denny Olson says this is the right move for the township.

"As of this time, the township is at a place where we have to move forward, we have to move on.  I don't feel that Perry wants to be here," said Olson.

During a phone interview Tuesday, Franzoi says that statement is inaccurate.

He was not in attendance during the meeting.
