With about 10,000 students on its campus, NMU has a big economic impact on Marquette area businesses. And every year, the Lake Superior Community Partnership hosts Fall Fest on the first day of classes to help students get to know Marquette County businesses.
They're looking for vendors for this year's event. Right now they have around 20 signed up, but they'd like to have over 60, which was last year's total.
"Fall Fest is a great opportunity to showcase your business--you can give out promotions to students and show then what you have to offer them, you can have giveaways, promotions, anything that can help you get students in your door," said Crystal Kuklinski from the Partnership.
Registration for Fall Fest is $50 for LSCP members and $65 for non-members.
Businesses have until August 22 to sign up.
