REPUBLIC -- Located in Republic, Wixtrom Natural Farms grows all kinds of goods including sweet corn, apples, and berries.  Their main crop, potatoes, sets them apart from other farms because they grow twenty different varieties of them.

"There's a lot of hard work involved, but if you like the farming, it doesn't seem like a job," says farmer Mike Wixtrom.  "It's fun to do and fun to watch stuff grow.  We enjoy it.  It's challenging to do stuff naturally and come up with a bumper crop."

Saturdays during the summer, they sell their chemical-free veggies and fruits at the Farmers Market in Marquette.

Anyone wanting the cream of the crop can stop by their farm on Friday afternoons to get the goods before they go to the market.
