MUNISING -- The trial of a Munising man accused of drugging and raping a 23-year-old Munising woman went to the jury late Thursday morning in the Alger County Circuit Court.

Twenty-nine-year-old Brian Wachter is accused of the drug-assisted sexual assault a Munising woman last October.

After the prosecution rested its case earlier Thursday, it was the defense's turn.  There were no witnesses called by the defense, and Wachter did not take the stand in his own defense.

The case is now in the hands of the jury to decide Wachter's fate.

Wachter faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if found guilty.
