MENOMINEE COUNTY -- More information has been released about the motorcycle crash in Menominee County that sent a woman to the hospital.

As we told you earlier this week, the crash happened around 12:30 Monday morning on County Road 577 and Elmwood Road in Menominee Township.  When the officer arrived, the driver of the motorcycle, 43-year-old Steven Dennis Parrett of Gladstone, stated he was the only occupant on the cycle.

A short time later, troopers from the Michigan State Police found a woman lying in the ditch.  She has been identified as the driver's sister, 44-year-old Tracie Lee Peterson from Menominee.

At the time, Parrett continued to say he did not know who was in the ditch.

Peterson was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.  She is still in critical condition.

The accident remains under investigation, and charges will be forthcoming.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors.
