IRON COUNTY -- A Caspian man, accused of breaking into nearly a dozen homes in Iron County, entered a plea Monday in Iron County Circuit Court.
Thirty-one-year-old Ryan Thunander pled guilty to four counts of aiding and abetting a breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny and one count of uttering and publishing. He was initially charged with 10 felonies.
Thunander's wife Rebecca was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison last month for similar crimes.
Monday, Ryan described in court how they broke into one of the homes.
"What was the purpose of going to that house?" asked the Judge.
"For her to break in," answered Thunander.
"And to steal stuff?" the Judge asked.
"Yes," Thunander said.
"And you knew that?" the Judge said.
"Yes," Thunander answered.
"And you assisted her by driving her to that location?" the Judge continued.
"Yes sir," Thunander responded.
The charges against Thunander carry a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison.
His sentencing is scheduled for August 29.
