HARRIS TOWNSHIP -- Menominee County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested two 17-year-old men from Escanaba in connection to an incident involving three cattle being severely injured.

Deputies responded to a call at a Harris Township farm at 7:26 a.m. on Monday.  When they arrived, they found three Angus cattle had been severely injured.

The investigation showed that unknown subjects ran the cattle into a cattle alleyway and then used a steel bar to stab the cattle numerous times.

Two heifers were later euthanized, and a two-year-old bull was being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The Menominee County Sheriff's Department conducted an investigation, leading to the arrest of the teens.  They are currently held in the Menominee County Jail on charges of Cruelty to Animals.

Their bond is set at $5,000.
