IRON MOUNTAIN -- It's a tradition every summer, and the Out to Lunch program is continuing this year in Iron Mountain.
Every Thursday, more than 300 spectators come out with their lawn chairs to listen to free live music in the parking lot across from the Dickinson County Library. Also, vendors from local restaurants sell all types of food.
This is the ninth year for Out to Lunch, which is put on by the Downtown Development Authority and local business owners to entice people to shop locally.
"We have people where it turns into their pastime. They love bringing their lawn chairs down, they like grabbing lunch with their family," said Iron Mountain Main Street Coordinator Jonathan Ringel. "We get them coming out from their offices during the noon hour and it's wonderful to see. A great way to spend summer since we have such a short period to enjoy it."
The weekly event continues until August 18.
