Three vehicle crash leaves two people injured

ISHPEMING -- An investigation is underway into an accident that occurred in Ishpeming Monday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. on the US-41/Second Street intersection.

Three vehicles were involved.

Ishpeming police report two people were taken to Bell Hospital for treatment.  Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.

Authorities say that one vehicle, driven by an 81-year-old Brighton man, failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with another vehicle, which then slammed into the third.

No word yet on any possible charges in the accident.
