MACKINAC COUNTY -- Michigan State Troopers responded to a call about a possible drowning victim in South Manistique Lake around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Several fishermen witnessed a boat travelling in circles on the lake.  They found an unresponsive man in the water, later identified as 42-year-old Jeffrey Jon Sell of Curtis.

EMS tried to revive Sell, but attempts were unsuccessful.

The investigation continues, but it is believed that Sell was not wearing a personal floatation device.
