Names released in crash injuring five

MARQUETTE -- The names of the people involved in a major accident Monday night have been released by the Marquette City Police.

The crash at the intersection of Grove and US-41 in Marquette sent five people to the hospital.

The driver of the car that reportedly pulled into the path of a truck, 19-year-old Joseph Wiencek of Crystal Falls, remains at Marquette General Hospital.  The hospital is not cleared to give his current condition.

Also hospitalized is 18-year-old Lacey Lamere of Marquette and 19-year-old Chelsea Hill of Marquette.  Their conditions are also not being made public.

Sarah Racine, a 21-year-old Marquette resident, is in serious condition, and the fifth person, 19-year-old Pamela Lamere of Marquette, was treated and released.

The driver of the truck, Russell Miller, and his passenger were not hurt in the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
